Mothers' Union Guildford | Membership

Membership

Membership of Mothers' Union in Guildford Diocese is open to ALL PEOPLE who are baptised in the name of the Holy Trinity.

All members' subscriptions include the following publications: The Angel (Mothers' Union Diocese of Guildford newsletter); Families Worldwide (Mothers' Union news to all members).

Branch Member

Members belong to a group established in their parish. Often there may be more than one group in a parish. People usually join their parish branch  to make friends and enjoy fellowship and support. Members often form the 'backbone' of their parish communities. They receive The Angel and Families Worldwide from their Branch Leader. For details of Mothers' Union branches, please email the MU Guildford Office.

Deanery Members

Often, when there is no branch in their parish, people become deanery members. The Angel and Families Worldwide magazines will be delivered to them by the Deanery Leader. They are welcome to join other branch meetings and join together with other members on 'deanery occasions'.

Indoor Member

This is a form of membership for those unable to attend branch or deanery groups but who wish to stay in contact with their local groups. Generally these members are house-bound, carers or living in care facilities.

Diocesan Members

These members join because they support the work of Mothers' Union but do not necessarily wish to belong to any particular group. The Angel and Families Worldwide are sent to them by post from our office.

All members are welcome to attend the Diocesan Festival services in Guildford Cathedral and Forum (council meetings). See What's On for dates.
