Parenting Facilitators Course

There are courses to train facilitators to run Parenting Groups organised by Mothers’ Union. These take place in different dioceses – Guildford has organised two. We can arrange for facilitators to be trained on any course. Our Parenting Programme is now beginning to take off and be more widely recognised. Parenting groups are flourishing under Mothers’ Union – these are particularly strong in Walton on Thames, Weybridge, Aldershot Deanery and Epsom Downs. We also have trained facilitators who we are ‘matching’ to requests from other organisations, e.g. schools, who are looking for parenting courses. The idea is to recruit a trained facilitator in the local area to run the course and this has worked well, as the school provides the premises and the parents, leaving the facilitator to concentrate on her professional skills. This project is developing.
