As usual we shall be collecting donations for various linked charities…
Lyne branch are collecting good quality toys and games as Christmas gifts for children in Stanwell
Trish Brown will be happy to have knitted items – hats for prisoners are probably the most urgent need now the weather is getting colder but also knee blankets for stroke patients at Epsom Hospital, plus warm knitted things for people in Ukraine.
Trish has a couple of knitted teddies which she plans to take to the Global Gathering in Durban at the end of this month and if anyone has knitted any more, she would be happy to take them as well!

The Aldershot refuge have asked for:
Shower gel/ Shampoo / Conditioner
Sanitary products /Toothpaste/Toothbrushes
Deodorant/ Body Lotion/ Hairbrushes/ Hair gels and sprays
For children arriving at refuge, slippers and pyjamas plus children’s shampoo, bodywash and toothpaste/toothbrushes.
The team asks that all donated items should be new and unopened.
Low denomination supermarket vouchers (£5 and £10) are something that can also be incredibly useful for families arriving in refuge with little but the clothes they are wearing and can fill immediate vital needs before longer-term support, such as food bank assistance, can be arranged.
The refuge does not accept miniatures or bars of soap but these can be donated for the emergency hospital bags project.
PLEASE BRING YOUR DONATIONS IN BAGS OR BOXES, CLEARLY LABELLED WITH THE NAME OF THE CHARITY YOU ARE DONATING TO.
